Will a cooler processor boost performance?

I have a pentium D 3.4 Ghz processor

I have an ok fan but i could probbally get a better one that will cool alot better

Recently i have been having heating problems but im gonna check if the fan is seated properly

My average temp on regular use is 55 C

and when in heavy use around 65 (70 is the limit before the warning comes on)

If i cooled it about 10-15 degrees or more will i see a performence difference?

and i also want to stay away from water cooling =)

Thanx

Will a cooler processor boost performance?
hot cpu can cause data corruption and

can crash your machine

if you machine is not crowded

check for dust and cables blocking fans including on power supply

if you reseat the heat sink ,

you must clean off + replace the thermal paste

did you build this yourself ?

a non-overclocked machine should not overheat
Reply:Well if it gets too hot it gets fried or bursts into flames, so yeah. The more heat your processor makes, the cooler you need it. Just try to keep it below 130 Fahrenheits, i would suggest.
Reply:Cooling IT further will not improve performance, but if it gets too hot it can destroy your CPU.
