I've had a cold, can I go and see my friend's baby?

I had a touch of a cold on Sunday %26amp; Monday - a bit sniffly and a sore throat. I feel fine now, just took in lots of Vit C to boost my immune system. Will I be okay to visit my friend and her 6 week old baby at the weekend?

I've had a cold, can I go and see my friend's baby?
no. keep away from the baby. or you can wear mask but be sure to wash your hands if you want to touch the baby.
Reply:why not ask your friend if it is OK, just remember to wash your hands and do not cough or breath over the baby, i am sure it will be OK as you are over the worse, babies do need to be exposed to some germs to build their immune system and it will have been a week since you were sick, just ask and see what she says.
Reply:Better to postpone the visit for some more time please.
Reply:no. no.

wait until next week when you are 100% healthy.
Reply:Noooo...please don't. It will affect the baby.
Reply:I dont think it is a problem but if i was in your position I would probably ask my friend how she feels about it?

If you do see her, make sure you wash your hands frequently and probably dont kiss the baby etc
Reply:Yes you can if you don't have any symptoms by this weekend
Reply:yeah you should be just explain to her mum what was wrong and if you dont feel 100% dont hold the baby too much

the baby will be using its mothers immunity to fight off dieases and infections at the moment and with the amount of coughs and cold going around all the time i am sure at 6 weeks it will have been in contact with this and worse

enjoy your visit
Reply:No I wudnt go just yet, the cold probably isnt out of your system, the baby is too small to take the chance, dont think your friend would be impressed if you give her lil one the cold.. hold out for abit!
Reply:Basic facts

you can pick up a cold from a baby or children as they are the biggest carriers of virus's,but usually not the other way around .I hope or maybe someone else can explain it better than I maybe a nurse children have a very strong immunity
Reply:don't tkae the risk, put it off for a bit because the baby is still a bit too young......

maybe, you could go with a gas mask on, give your friend a laugh.
Reply:Actually, Vitamin C is pretty useless when it comes to colds. Visit the link bellow for the article.

I would also wait some week just to be sure you're really OK ant then visit the baby. Just my 50 cents.
Reply:It depends on your friend.
