A and B. We need to get universal health care. Canada has found a way to make it work so I dont see why we cant. The education system needs to be completely reformed. No Child Left Behind is a joke because it leaves so many kids behind. Kids that go to schools with poor test scores are unable to get a good education cause the school doesnt get any funding from the government. How is taking away money from the school's that are failing supposed to make them smarter? It's like taking an athlete who has just had a bad game and now allowing him to practice before the next game. How is the athlete supposed to get better?

I had a touch of a cold on Sunday %26amp; Monday - a bit sniffly and a sore throat. I feel fine now, just took in lots of Vit C to boost my immune system. Will I be okay to visit my friend and her 6 week old baby at the weekend?

I don't know. I think she might just be using him a) for more publicity , b) for his money and c) to boost her career. I started a regular workout and diet routine around August 25th...It consists of 30+ minutes of cardio(elliptical on high resistance) 30 minutes of weight-circuit training...then depending on how I feel another 20 minutes of cardio..I watch what I eat very closely...I watch my calorie intake, sodium intake, and of course fat intake. I don't eat fast food..I have slipped up maybe once or twice but it doesn't happen very often..in fact I've noticed when I DO eat more in a day..I still seem to drop a pound or too..I'm told it's b/c it boost my metabolism..so..great!!..*L*...I am a 24 yr old female..When I started I weighed probably close to 200lbs..but no one ever guessed it b/c I'm 5'7..and it was mostly in my boobs and butt..I've always had a flat stomach..WELL..now it's almost the end of Novemeber and I weigh 155...I know thats fast..but my intentions were not to drop it so fast...but I feel great and am told I look unbelivable..What can I do do prove that I'm ok??

You need a more balanced diet with more fruits and veggies, and you could benefit from some more snacks throughout the day. Try 10-20 almonds, 1/2 bowl of cereal, etc.
Reply:You didn't say what your goal weight is and when you'd like to be at that weight. Depending on your bone structure around 130 to 145 may be right for you. Your diet plan is mostly on track. Without knowing more about your routine it's hard for me to recommend a meal plan. I'm a natural amateur bodybuilder at 5'9" 175. I'm a nutritional consultant and a ISAA certified personal trainer. One item you mentioned is you work out everyday. You may be over training doing that. Include free weights with machines, only work two body parts at a time. Try to eat six to seven times a day. Small meals with lots of protein. One meal can be a full cup of fat free cottage cheese with a cup of peaches. It's a lot when you measure it out and it's filling, but nearly fat free. you get sugar, protein and no fat. Two of your meals can be protein shakes with at least 30gms of protein mixed with skim milk. If chosen right those are nearly meals in a glass. Make one just before bed, drink half then. If you get up during the night, drink the other half then. Give your metabolism something to do while you sleep. Doing cardio after your workout will allow you to burn even more. Keep up the good work, you're on your way.

and who did I see in the grandstand? My father, the SOB showed up. when I got home I had to tell him that I quit the team. and ya know what? the bastard beat me severely, I mean I bruised and bled. It ws that night that I lost interest in organized sports. and to this day more than 30 years later I dont care about any sports.

How do I Beautify Myself?
My whole life growing up I was a tomboy....I never really cared what I looked like...I felt just plain ugly(also emotional put downs from male family members didn't help)....well now that I am almost 24, a mom, and recently engaged to my wonderful b/f I want to be "pretty" I want to style my hair, do my eyebrows (which are hideous!!!) and just look nice. My confindence is boosted b/c I'm told everyday that I am beautiful (Thanks Baby :)) but now I wanna look the part....so any ideas on how I can go from tomboy to WOW?????

Well for the whole eye brow thing, you should go get them waxed, ask someone that works there for assistance and they should know what fits you the best since theyre professionals.
For make up I'd say skip the foundation and anything that'll clog your pores and make you break out, and go for a simple eye shadow that best matches your skin tone, add some brown eye liner, and a few coats of black mascara.
For your lips I'd say go for the lip gloss thats closest to your skin color and add some clear lip gloss for extra shine!
Clothes are a little harder to determine for you since I have no idea what you look like but I definitely suggest you go for a nice peasant skirt, and a beautiful top that will compliment the skirt and some flats that match.
Or you can try dresses, a nice sleeveless dress with a thick belt in the middle and cute stilettos.
For your hair I suggest going to a hair stylist and asking for something that will really make you stand out!

I just went on the WORST date of my entire life, and two weeks ago my now ex-bf was issued a restraining order by his ex-gf. it was a meeting with my classfellow regarding a project where I was telling him something ....he had his eyes half closed(I would say narrow or "sleepy- like" would be the right term, as I was looking at him he was also blinking and his eyes was setting on my eyes and lips interchangably he also had a smile with closed lips,I wasnt saying anything negative ,was only asking for a small favour

i jus did a performance and i got so much better than everyone else....i usually am really nervous and i can recall fumbling on alot of my lines...the only thing is, is that i was honest with the character, and i started crying with the build up of emotions from the story...would that have boosted my mark?

This is true: My husband's cousin is a Psychotherapist. He lives in New Orleans but last year they had to evacuate for 4 months and he spent the whole time studying trauma
We went to visit them a couple of week ago and they are back in their home in New Orleans.
We mentioned I had a stroke a year ago and he told us that it has been scientifically proven stroke and head trauma patients benefit from listening to Mozart.
They are not sure why this happens but it does.

However, there aren't a lot of hard and fast scientific studies done on it. Frankly, I don't give a rip. The music is brilliant and it relaxes me enough to really think things through. I can say this; it is a very sad situation and causes horrible futures for these kids. They are disconnected because nobody connected with them properly. This means that they can commit crimes against people that are violent and without remorse in severe cases. There are physical problems too, an old study in the 1940's showed babies who did not get physical affection or attention literally died.
Humans need love and affection to properly survive, bottom line. Good luck with your grade.

If you have an MRI with a very powerful shielding that attenuates even the signals transmitted (c the rest )?
Many possibilities:
Boost it? Just amplify the signal. Can you get inside its circuitry? Can you get a schematic for it?
The patient monitor transmitter is probably omnidirectional or close to it. If its location can be fixed during the MRI, you could use a directional antenna on the transmitter and gain 20 to 30 dB. You'd then have to point the transmitting antenna towards the reciever.
Likewise, the recieving station is probably omnidirectional and could be made directional, but only if it is monitoring just the one patient.
Simplest would be to move the transmitter and receiver as close as possible, just on opposite sides of the MRI room's wall. See if that is enough.
Trickiest would be some modification of that shielding wall for a wave guide. To pipe the radio frequency through the wall. Hobbists use plastic pipe with metallic paint on the inside. By take one or 90-degree bends within a shielded box, you could prevent MRI EMF from getting out while guiding the patient monitor signal from transmitter to receiver.

Invite in a local Ham Club to check out the facility and the problem. Those guys are often very very knowledgable, retired and donate their time for various good causes. The Falcons will go from worst to first in the N.F.C. south because...?
The falcons are gonna have a great 1, 2 running back tandum with Jurious Norwood, and Micheal Turner. Both those guys can go the distance with any given touch. Not to mention there running behind a beast of a fullback in Ovie Mughelli, there line is gonna be young so you dont quite know what your gonna get out of them. Brian Finneran is gonna come back from his knee injury in 2005 to hugely boost there passing game, that along with Roddy white and joe horn is probably gonna make the best receiving core in the nfc south. And if our running game is good enouph, defenses are gonna have to put 8 men in the box opening up the passing game for who ever behind center. This is the exact kind of system joey harrington thrived with at organ by the way. (hint,hint) I think the falcon offense is gonna be very similar to what the jaguars do. Beat you enouph on the line to draw players in the box. Yet pass enouph to keep people on there toes. I wouldent be surprised if we won 10 games next season.

The secondary still needs help and is about 1-2 years away from improving if they can draft a quality cornerback.
The Carolina Panthers are bidding time to release John Fox go next season and hope Bill Cowher is ready to come back to the NFL. They did not help their cause at all. They traded half of their defensive line. They released the primary productive back in their anemic offense. Delhomme is shaky at best coming back from elbow surgery. This team made no sense in the off-season other than trading for Chester Taylor and raft picks, but that is a sign that they are already packing it in.
Then there are the Falcons. Mike Smith? Out of all the coaches that they could ahve gotten, they picked Mike Smith? I know that Jacksonville's defense was good, but did they ever think that that might be because Jack Del Rio is the coach? They kept Joey Harrington so Matt Ryan can learn what not to do under center. They signed Michael Turner to share the backfield with Norwood. They made no upgrades to their defense. Instead, they have a disgruntled shut down corner, who the owner alienated last season by taking Petrino's side in their dispute. Mike Smith would have been a great hire as a defensive coordinator, but as a head coach, he is a worse pick than Jim Zorn in Washington.

I have a friend who was layed off of her job of 25 years, she is now 47 years old. She hasn't been working now for two years. She has applied to many jobs but she is having a hard time finding a job. It is starting to effect her pyschologically, and I dont know how to help. She needs resources. I would love, if you all could give me some websites or phone number relevant to helping people in need of a boost in life. She lives in Washington DC.

How do I create a sparse 3D matrix in C++?
I need to create a matrix of size (256, 256, 256) on which I can perform some mathematical operations. Usually I have been using Boost uBLAS for matrix math, but I don't think I can create a 3D matrix there. I tried using an int Array[256][256][256] but this was way too large and I experienced a stack overflow.

The department of labor encouraged me to attend a safety officer training w/c is $215 reg fee,is is worth it?
Th catch is, im leaving the company in 3months time. meaning, i dont want the company to spend money for the training yet im leaving. The department of labor said that it will boost my career if I become a Safety Officer. I am an HR Practioner.
Is it worth it to shoulder personally the training fee just to be a Safety Officer? I mean will it really give boost to my career?

I have been off the pill for almost 3 years now, not necessarily trying to get pregnant.. but kind of hoping. My hubby and I are both really wanting a baby and haven't been using any protection at all since I quit the pill. I have a 7 yr. old son from a prev relationship, he's never had kids. We both take good care of ourselves, and I've recently lost about 30 lbs in hopes of conceiving. My question is: what if I started the pill again for 6 mos or so.. then quit taking it? The Chargers trade for C.Chambers? Was it a waste ? Or does he need more time with the offense?
A waste considering they have an average QB at best in Rivers and their offense is geared around Tomlinson. Rivers has the ugliest throwing motion I've ever seen on a QB and his arm strength is highly suspect.
Reply:You try learning an NFL teams playbook in 2 weeks and see how good you do the 1st time up.
He will come around. Look at how long it took Rivers to learn the new offensive scheme.

How does it make you feel? Do you feel a difference when you drink it? Does it give you an energy boost or what does it do for you?

I love that stuff, i drink the tangerine kind in orange juice every morning and i don't get sick as much as I used to. I just prevents you from getting sick like any other vitamin tablet would, but this tastes really good.

2 questions about B.C pills and being RH negative?
ok first question is ...Is there a birth control pill that doesnt prevent pregnacy? It would just give you a boost of hormones? My body doesn't produce enough ive been told and they keep saying birth control but then they tell me its birth control but it does the oppisite and puts more of the hormones you need in you. So does that mean it wont prevent pregnacy? Also it won't cause weight gain like those that do prevent you would it?
Second question.....
If i'm A- ....same as RH negative..whatever you want to call it. That means i'm basically screwed right? In the future when i will want children if the guy isnt rh negative then i wont be able to have a child unless i get those really painful shots?
is this completely true? Or is there another option, any pills that i could take that would have the same affect?

The birth control pill will regulate the hormones in your system getting them in proper balance.
If you are RH (neg) and you had a child with a man who was RH (pos) you would have to have the shots - one time. There is no other option. Without it the baby will not survive.
Reply:Just because you are RH negative doesn't mean anything. What happens when you are pregnant, you have to get a RhoGham shot, because you're RH negative. Sure it burns, but when you're prego you get used to needles. Another thing, after you deliver the baby, if your child is born RH positive, then you have to get the RhoGham shot within 72 hours of delivery. This is because of the blood mixing during delivery. I am O- and I have three children, so I am used to this procedure. Don't get all worried about this, it is part of life. Hope this answered your question.

If your baby is RH-, then you will only get one shot, if they are + you will have to get another shot after they're born, but if you have an IV from the child birth, they would just put the medicine in there rather than giving you another shot. The needles don't hurt that bad, I had to have 3 of them cause the nurse messed up on the first one and didn't give me enough. Trust me, if you're planning on having a baby, you better get ready to get more than just 2 needles, the whole pregnancy you are getting your blood tested for all sorts of things so time to tough up girl!! :o) I hated needles too but I've had so many lately that they don't even phaze me anymore.
The bc pill should regulate your hormones but all of them are made to prevent you from getting pregnant. Perhaps there is a hormone replacement pill such as estrogen or just the progesterone that can help you with your hormone problems but keep you fertile and ready to have a baby. Can you go without the pills and use a different form of contraceptive?? Maybe the pill is what's screwing you up??
