The Falcons will go from worst to first in the N.F.C. south because...?

The falcons are gonna have a great 1, 2 running back tandum with Jurious Norwood, and Micheal Turner. Both those guys can go the distance with any given touch. Not to mention there running behind a beast of a fullback in Ovie Mughelli, there line is gonna be young so you dont quite know what your gonna get out of them. Brian Finneran is gonna come back from his knee injury in 2005 to hugely boost there passing game, that along with Roddy white and joe horn is probably gonna make the best receiving core in the nfc south. And if our running game is good enouph, defenses are gonna have to put 8 men in the box opening up the passing game for who ever behind center. This is the exact kind of system joey harrington thrived with at organ by the way. (hint, hint) I think the falcon offense is gonna be very similar to what the jaguars do. Beat you enouph on the line to draw players in the box. Yet pass enouph to keep people on there toes. I wouldent be surprised if we won 10 games next season.

The Falcons will go from worst to first in the N.F.C. south because...?
Because this has been the trend in the NFC South.

No one thought the Bucs had a chance last year, and fewer people thought the Saints had a chance the year before that.

It's not as crazy as it sounds.

Reply:The Falcons will go from worst to first in the N.F.C. south because... I use good drugs.:)

Don't bogart that joint.:)
Reply:...because surely there are parallel universes and there's got to be ONE universe that the Falcons are good in.
Reply:Don't count on the trend to continue. The Falcons will be in last place this year again and for a number of years. Not trying to dog the team but they have too many pieces to fill in to get out of that spot.
Reply:What your first answer said.... HAHAHA LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you been watching the NFL lately? Are you saying that Joey Harrington and Redman will lead this team to 1st in the division? WOW! Please, for your bank accounts sake, do not make bets on this. Ive never heard of Brian Finneran, so that says something! I wouldnt be surprised if you lost 10 games, not won them buddy. I would be surprised if you only lost 9 games.
Reply:Atl will win exactly 6 games next year. The champion in the South will only win 9 games by the way. With no real deep threat at wide receiver, and no running back that can go the distance the Falcons will be a running team facing 8-9 in the box and will struggle. Quarterback issues may keep them from being the top of the division, remember Garcia was in the Pro-Bowl...but to expect more than 6-7 wins is to wish upon a star.
Reply:The only decent QB on their team is in the big house, the coach is a nobody, they dumped the best players they had.

First in next years draft is probability.
Reply:Puff , Puff , Pass bro.
Reply:I like Roddy White, but I think Joe Horn's best days were left in New Orleans. They should be a better team this year, with a little more stability, but they still have question marks on the two most important parts of a rebuilding team, offensive and defensive lines, hopefully for you Falcons fans, those questions will be answered.
Reply:The Buccaneers will repeat as NFC South division champions due to a lack of competition for that division. They have the experience at QB. They added Dunn to the backfield, who Gruden will motion out of the backfield and use a receiver most of time. The defense is startin a youth movement, but still has teh scheme and talent to contend with the others in the division.

The Saints added some players on defense to help, but I still see them 1-2 wins shy of knocking off the Buccaneers. As last year showed everybody, the NFL got accustomed to Sean Payton's brand of offense. The gadget plays, throw first mentality, and Reggie Bush decoy couldn't fool NFL defenses for long. The secondary still needs help and is about 1-2 years away from improving if they can draft a quality cornerback.

The Carolina Panthers are bidding time to release John Fox go next season and hope Bill Cowher is ready to come back to the NFL. They did not help their cause at all. They traded half of their defensive line. They released the primary productive back in their anemic offense. Delhomme is shaky at best coming back from elbow surgery. This team made no sense in the off-season other than trading for Chester Taylor and raft picks, but that is a sign that they are already packing it in.

Then there are the Falcons. Mike Smith? Out of all the coaches that they could ahve gotten, they picked Mike Smith? I know that Jacksonville's defense was good, but did they ever think that that might be because Jack Del Rio is the coach? They kept Joey Harrington so Matt Ryan can learn what not to do under center. They signed Michael Turner to share the backfield with Norwood. They made no upgrades to their defense. Instead, they have a disgruntled shut down corner, who the owner alienated last season by taking Petrino's side in their dispute. Mike Smith would have been a great hire as a defensive coordinator, but as a head coach, he is a worse pick than Jim Zorn in Washington.
Reply:Its their dirty little secret that Chris Redman might be for real. it'll be clear by draft time if they pass on Ryan (if he is available). the bucs quarterback is older than some NFL owners. Carolina stinks. really bad. Steve Smith is the only player on their team that has any talent, and he has peaked. Saints. haha. Saints.
Reply:Okay I live in Atlanta.. although I am from New York and a giants fan but come on.. i have been to quite a few games this past year and they completely suck. I agree Turner being added to the backfield is an improvement.. but quite frankly i was extremely impressed with Norwood on his own and making Dunn the backup to him and doing something else in free agency in halping any other area of need that they might have. which is like every where on the team... they got rid of Alge Crumpler who who prolly the most skilled player they have at any position and they have dropped starters all over the place.... they might be good in the future but this year is clearly a rebuilding year for them and will do no better than 3rd in the NFC south behind New Orleans(who improved in the off season ) and Tampa bay who got no better but is still a decent team with their main core of players intact. so save ya money and get season tickets for the 2009 season... youll be happy ya did.

and as far your staement that every team goes from worst to first... yes over the course of any amount of time a team will have ups and downs.. but your statement is flawed as the Saints were 1 two years ago and second last year...
Reply:Well with the bucs and saints in the south I'm not so sure 10 games is going to get it done guy. And I'm also not so sure that Roddy White and Joe Horn our ever be part of a best WR core. Kudos for being a fan though. Most Falcons fans jumped ship a long time ago.
