How to boost kids immune system?

My son is 4, and is constantly sick. He was never really sick until about a yr ago, when he started daycare. I know kids generally get sick alot when they first start because they havent been exposed to those germs before, but its been a yr...he has a constant cold, ear infections, respiratory problems, has had pink eye twice, pneumonia once, etc. His dr did a little blood work because i was concerned and said things looked ok, and he has been to an ENT, but i decided against tubes for now. He is a very healthy eater, i got lucky with a kid who loves vegetables and fruit. I tried taking him off dairy, cuz someone said it could all be from dairy allergy, but it didnt help. What are some ways to help him stop getting sick besides removing him from daycare? He takes a multivitamin with extra C everyday. Any tips?

How to boost kids immune system?
Here are some ways to boost childrens immune system.

1) Keep practicing good personal hygiene care, wash your hands! When around other kids, germs are easily pick up and it is important to keep washing the hands and face. It is ok to be exposed to germs, but if your immune system is weak or overwhelmed, you will get sick.

2) Get plenty of rest. During deep sleep, our body release potent immune-enhancing substances that strengthen your immune system function. By not allowing our body sufficient rest, the immune system will sputter, and as a result, not function at full capacity. We then are more likely to become ill with common illnesses. A healthy, deep sleep allows our body to release a significant amount of growth hormone that boost the immune system and aids in the growth and repair of the body.

3) Get moderate and regular exercise

An increase in blood flow associated with moderate exercise helps to circulate antibodies along with white blood cells necessary to fight infection more quickly. As a result, this provides our bodies with an early warning system to ward off potentially damaging germs. In addition, the increase in body temperature as a result of physical activity may aid in inhibiting the growth of bacteria; thus allowing the body to fight infection more effectively.

4) Boost immune system by drinking plenty of filtered water.

Water is essential for all living things and keeps our immune system operating optimally while improving the way we feel, look and live. Without sufficient amounts of water, you may experience routine fatigue, dry skin, headaches, constipation, and a decrease normal bodily function which may lead to your body unable to fight off diseases. Without water we would literally dehydrate which could result in the shutting down of vital organs and ultimately end in death.

6) Eliminate all sugar and allergens from your diet.

Just a small amount of sugar has been proven to impair white blood cells up to 50% for very short periods of time. By discovering what our personal food allergies are, then eliminating or desensitizing them will help strengthen your immune system. By removing these triggers, our immune cells are strengthened in order to combat other invaders such as influenza rather than the allergen. The elimination of sugar from your diet can also strengthen immune system.

7) Eat nutritiously

Good foods to eat include organic fruits and vegetables, chloretta, medicinal mushrooms like maitake, shiitake, reishi, or turkey tail. Besides water, wheatgrass juice, aloe vera juice, or green tea are good drinks. My favorite is MonaVie juice and kids love it!

8) Take supplements

Supplements are needed because our bodies can not produce the nutrients necessary to maintain optimum health. There are many nutrients needed in order to maintain a strong immune system. It is very challenging in the world we live in to obtain sufficient nutrition with the foods available to us. They are over processed and void of many essential nutrients. Additionally, food is grown in soils that have been over-planted and saturated with synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Vitamin and mineral deficiency subjects us to more diseases, aging, sickness, and the weakening of our immune system.

Best herbs include echinacea, goldenseal, garlic, olive leaf extract, elderberry, or astragalus.

Best vitamins include Vitamin A, C, or E. These are a good source of antioxidants, which will boost your immune system.

The minerals zinc and selenium also help with boosting your immune system.

For teens and above, it is suggested to get a Regular Body Cleansing.

Body cleansing is essential because our bodies need to properly eliminate the toxic build up that has formed in our intestines (colon), which may lead to sickness and disease. Our body organs and tissues must be free of toxins for the immune system to function optimally thus enabling our bodies to receive the essential nutrients our bodies need.

As you can see, there is no one magic cure, one supplement, or one way to boost your childs immune system, but there are many things you can do to help your situation.

Reply:i am not really sure but if u go to a gnc they have great multivitamins there with all kinds of minerals so well good luck i hope he feels better
Reply:use natural products first of all the fact that he eats healthy is great! but now you need to rebuild his immunity, if he has been on a lot of antibiotics he needs to take bifidophilous to rebuild his own 'friendly bacteria' because over the counter antibiotics kill good and bad bacteria in the body. My son he's 2 and he is the healthiest kid i know. I don't use over the counter meds, we only use herbs and natural supplements, mostly natures sunshine. you can go to www.mynsp.com/kandismm for more information on products. they have a section for children and also an immune system section. I would look into an antioxidant, elderberry and a high quality, pure multi vitamin. A lot of the main stream vitamin and mineral supplements in retail stores are so full of fillers and chemicals that the body doesnt even absorb them! goo dluck and good health!
Reply:A balanced diet will always be better than a multi vitamin. If he is always sick, this herbal tincture is definitely worth a try. http://www.newstarget.com/021860.html
Reply:FLINSTONESS!!! yummy yummy!
Reply:Your kid probably does have an allergy. You need to identify it and avoid it. Also I recommend liquid vitamins since they are more absorb-able.
Reply:You are correct, with daycare, comes many different viruses. You should be seeing it start to let up. It took about a year for all three of my kids. A great article can be found at:http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/4272...

All the while the lady who did my daycare had six children who were NEVER sick. I'm sure they had quite a resistancy. She swore by silver and zinc tablets, echinachia is also an great immune booster. A new study came out a few weeks ago determined that Vitamin C does not have the wonderful effects we always thought but is not harmful. Obviously deters scurvy but we dont have to worry about that!

I also found for my own kids that my son is the one who gets sick the very least in the family and I attribute it to the fact that he's a boy that always has his hands dirty and I have never been really neurotic, which I think has helped build his immunity crazy as that sounds.
Reply:Might want to take him to see a naturapathic Dr. They would be better at preventing sickness then treating it like regular docs do.
Reply:Airborne!!!

--- It works wonders!
