Are boost smoothies healthy? Can replace this with breakfast?
Yes, they are healthy and you can drink them for breakfast. All those vitamins and minerals are good for the body. And I've seen worst sugar content in sodas and sport's drinks.
Reply:uh.. no this will not succeed the brain food it takes to get started in the morning.
Reply:Whew! That was a lot of tedious typing!

Your question indicates that you want to replace the smoothie with breakfast. Is that what you meant? Or the other way around?

Either way, with 0 fiber content, the smoothie is not particularly healthy. Don't like the fat content either.

A much better breakfast would be a bowl of whole grain, sugar free cereal with low fat milk, whole wheat toast, and a piece of fruit. The fruit could be raisins in the cereal. Be much more filling and last longer too.

Good luck.
Reply:Whole wheat bread, a piece of fruit, a couple of eggs, a glass of milk, or fresh juice, and a good quality multiple vitamin would be your best bet. The sugars you don't need, and the lack of fiber is what makes bowel movements difficult. So, toss the smoothie, and get a really good breakfast. Slowing down to a bare crawl, or a dead stop at the dinner table or breakfast bar for a good breakfast is better for your morning. Chase that with a good size lunch and you are well on your way to a successful day.
Reply:errrrr not healthy for a diabetic. Look at all that sugar!

Better to have Kashi with skim milk.
