Is an i850 fone lik a boost? do i add min. like a boost by buyin a card? would a boost card work on it?

i got this fone. at first i thought it was a boost cuz it has walkie talkie but i didn't c a boost label. Only thing i c is i850 and nextel label so i'm guessin its an i850 (wat eva dat is). I also need a sim card for it, where can i get one and how much r they?

Reply:Boost! is an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) meaning they resell service by using a network and in Boost!'s case (Nextel) . The i850 in question uses the same iDEN technology that Boost! uses. All you would have to do is buy a Boost! sim card and pop it in. I've done it before when I had an i860.


I would stop by a local Sprint Store or pick up a cheap Boost! mobile package from BestBuy or Walmart.
