3 years ago I went through 6 months of combination treatment for Hepatitis C. The virus was erradicated, and so was my immune system. Even after 3 years, I can't seem to bounce back. The stuff they sell at GNC and places like that only helps for a few days.
What is the best way to boost a devastated immune system (doctors have been no help)?
Eat healthy (well-balanced; with plenty of vegetables and fruits).
Get plenty sleep on a routine schedule (7-8 hours).
Drink plenty of water.
Get some regular aerobic exercise.
Fuel personal passions; hobbies, sports, or any other things that really give you a natural "high".
Take a multivitamin daily.
Take an extra Vitamin C daily.
If you feel weak and tired, consider getting checked out for anemia, in which a simple iron pill a day could make a huge difference. Or (can't hurt you), just try taking an iron pill daily (though, not too much, as it will constipate you!).
I am also assuming that you don't smoke. If you do, make quitting your number 1 most important thing!!!
Unfortunately, everybody's immune systems gets weaker as we get older. I don't like getting older...it kind of stinks.
Reply:the truth is there is nothing. I know that is not the answer you want to here but it's the truth. If your blood work is good, there is nothing that can really help.
